Valerie Jean Uphouse Motsko

Valerie Jean Motsko, entered this life November 24, 1945 in Chicago Illinois to Arp & Mary Uphouse, her parents along with her brother Martin Uphouse preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving husband Charlie John Motsko, her two children; daughter Natalie Gamble, son Jeffrey Baygents, loving granddaughter Nicole Gamble and 4 grandchildren. Due to losing her battle to cancer she passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital and entered eternal life on May 20, 2015. Valerie worked for 10years as a parish secretary at Blessed Sacrament. She put herself through college and became an RN. She worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital for 12yrs until she retired. She enjoyed afternoons of card games with friends. Valerie traveled almost the entire world with her loving husband. She was an amazing cook, loved to try new things and really enjoyed the company of friends and family. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and an active member of the Garden Grove Woman’s Civic Club.

Visitation will be on May 28, 2015 from 4:00pm-8:00pm and Rosary at 7:00pm will be held at Dimond and Shannon Mortuary, 10630 Chapman Ave., Garden Grove, CA 92840, Funeral Mass will be May 29, 2015 at 11:00am celebrated at St. Columban Catholic Church, 10801 Stanford Ave., Garden Grove, CA 92840. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Servite High School scholarship fund in Anaheim, CA.
