William “Bill” Michael Shumate passed away on January 5, 2014 in Long Beach, CA. Bill was born June 11, 1954 in San Antonio, TX. He is survived by Colinda his wife of 28 years, and their children Shane, Colin, and Gaby. Bill served in the Air Force for 6 years and in ministry as a pastor for over 20 years. He was an avid fisher and outdoorsman, and fan of all things sports. Bill enjoyed music above all else and was a talented musician himself. Bill loved his Lord, he loved his family and he loved his country. He was willing to give his life for each of those things and he knew that he did not live his life in vain because of it!
