Born on January 5, 1988, in Minneapolis, Collin brought much joy to the new year (which is still one of the coldest on record in the state of Minnesota). From the start, he was full of energy, curiosity and a deep sense of compassion for others. Growing up, Collin loved amusement parks, games and most sports. He competed in organized sports and in high school was nominated co-captain of his high school baseball team and they were Sectional Champs. After graduating from Scarsdale High School in Scarsdale, New York, Collin attended Muhlenberg College in Allentown Pennsylvania and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2011.
Collin had many pursuits both personal and professional. He was an excellent writer with many published poems and music scores. Professionally he worked as a case manager at Presbyterian Senior Services in the Bronx, helping young adolescent and adults settle into a permanent living/working environment. He also worked for Relationship One in Rye, New York providing data science studies for various companies. Most recently Collin was a writer for the Barrett Group based out of Providence Rhode Island where he assisted professionals with their career transition.
Collin was known for his humor, directness and love of family. He had an amazing smile and could break out laughing hysterically without notice. He had a lifelong passion for sports, both spectating and playing. He enjoyed the outdoors, animals and in the last few years picked up a very good taste for preparing delicious meals. He enjoyed cooking for family, friends and would make a day out of buying and preparing a wonderful meal. He had a special connection with his aunts & uncles and really cherished his relationship with his niece and God daughter, Annabelle. He was known for his loyalty to close family members, his caring nature and his infectious laugh! Collin loved his family more than anything and was very proud of all of them.
While his time on earth was far too short, his spirit will live on through all of us. Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Collin is now at peace and with our father and savior. We will forever carry him in our hearts and hold on to the beautiful memories he gave us.
