Marva Morris was born on March 26, 1944, in Los Angeles, California, to Joseph Dunbar Morris and Lillian Morris. She was the second child of this union. She was raised in a Methodist faith family. Marva was baptized on October 15, 1944.
Marva attended Main Street Elementary, George Washington Carver and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School on January 29, 1962.
She attended Metropolitan College of Business for two years. She studied and enhanced her administrative skills.
On April 7, 1964, she married Warner Michael Foster, who she met through her older sister and brother-in-law. Warner proceeded her in passing.
Marva was blessed with three beautiful girls, Monica Lynn, Ina Sherri, and Eve LaFay. She often referred to them as “her girls”.
She was a grandmother to 6. She was a great grandmother to 5. Marva was surrounded by females, but she loved her boys.
Marva started her career at the United Way, LA County Library, Hughes Aircraft Company and Raytheon Aerospace.
She retired from Raytheon on May 1, 2006, with 30 years of service. She was able to enjoy 18 years as a retiree.
In her young days, Marva enjoyed being “at home” gathered by her family. She was a wonderful cook and became the best of the best within the Foster Family. Everyone who knew her always complimented her for her beauty as well as her kind and gentle spirit.
She will always be well known for being a loving mother and a phenomenal grandmother. She had a heart of gold and always acknowledged life with utilizing “Please” and “Thank You”.
On Sunday, January 12,2025, our beloved Marva made her transition from this earthly realm to a place of rest and relaxation. No more medication, cognitive challenges, and no more pain. Her sister proceeded her in passing.
She leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories with her beloved daughters, Monica Coulson, Ina Duvernay, Eve Bluntson (and son in law Keith); loving sister-in-law, Erma Ladmirault; beautiful grandchildren, Monique Bomar, Jade Bledsoe, Angelo Stephens Jr., Moni Coulson, Jasmine Duvernay, and Kai Bluntson; precious great-grandchildren, Jordan Warner Foster, Lily Muhammad, Caeden Barkley, Shylo Stephens and Lotus Tanner. A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
We love and miss you, but we will never forget you as you have shown all of us what true love looks and feels like!
