You carried me when I was about to give up. I was there during your darkest moments, and I never doubted your character. You taught me so much, more then you ever realized; and yet you were the one who always thanked me for sticking by your side. We watched each other grow, relationship to relationship and you were always my brother, bound by a connection that transcended any other relationship no matter what. How will I go on without you?

Dear Danny... So many memories. We had so much fun together. You were a force of nature. You radiated sunshine and positive energy and those around you, including myself, felt lucky to be your friend. You never hesitated to help a friend or a stranger in need. ... I miss you and I will love you forever. Zuzi.

Nothing more can be said other than i love you and allways will. You taking my only child on his first fishing trip at less than 2 years old proves what an amzing person you were. We will never forget all you did for us and we will allways hold you in the deepest and most cherished part of our hearts. I only wish you would have been able to be there for aldons first hunting trip as well. You are erternaly loved and will allways be missed. We love you

Danny, when Rachael died you, just a guy I had met hunting a couple times, stepped up. You became my friend. You shared your story with me and helped me afford my club membership that year. I'm going to miss our heated conversations about what needed to happen with the club. We seldom agreed but the conversation was always held with a lot of laughter and fun shots taken at the other guy. Thank you, Danny, for being my friend.

RIP Danny. May the streams be trout filled, Mountains be crawling with bucks and bulls, skies filled with waterfowl, and the tall grass loaded with pheasants. Hunt em up with your brother and Caddis, save a few for us.

Until we meet again my friend, in this life or the next.

I cannot believe this. After some 30 years we met up again on a hunt. You were so full of life and enjoying it to the max. I'm so glad we got meet up and hunt together one last time.

My deepest condolences to the Land Family. You raised a fine man who will be missed by many.

Not the place or time to post about all of the shenanigans we got up to Danny.
We drove your Mom and Dad crazy.
You will be missed my friend. You will be missed.

A few years back you told me you had a crazy story to tell and asked if I'd done any ghostwriting. We chatted a bit and left it at that. Just a few days ago that conversation popped into my mind and I wondered when I'd get to hear your story, and if I'd be able to help you write it. Needless to say I was shocked to learn this afternoon of your passing. Danny, you were such a bright light. Your love for life was utterly contagious and your love and gratitude for the people in your life, inspirational. May the love you put out into the world come back a hundred-fold to your family and loved ones who are hurting and missing you so much. And may the heavenly reunions be joyous and all the streams full of trout.

Danny, this news has weighed heavy on my heart all day...from the wonder of the Rockies to the unique beauty of Nevada and the Sierra’s it is our shared love for the land and all that roam it that was our connection. Your light lives on through everyone you’ve touched.

To your inner circle of family and friends I send you prayers from my family as I cannot fathom the grief you are experiencing. We are all lucky to have had a connection to his beautiful light and I pray that our collective love and respect for Danny lifts you through the days, weeks and months ahead.

Shine on, Danny.
