C. Duane Curry Jr., age 75 of Newfane, went home to be with the Lord on October 4, 2018 at Niagara Hospice House. Born June 26, 1943 in Cheektowaga, Duane is the son of the late Charles D. Curry and Marion C. (Schmitt) Curry.
He had lived in Gasport most of his life moving to Newfane for the past 12 years. He married his wife Alice on July 1, 1977 in Gasport. He and his wife traveled back and forth to Leesburg, FL spending the winter months there. Duane worked at Harrison Radiator as a fork truck driver, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed golf, pool and traveling. He was an avid woodworker, teaching woodworking while living in Florida. He also enjoyed watching old westerns and war movies.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Alice and children: Robert (Kelly) Curry, Anne Marie (David) Dingle, Cynthia (Chris) Licciardi, Robert (Lois) Brewer and Edie (Eric) Curry; also survived by siblings: Dan Curry, Marilyn (James) Alexander, Carolyn Bowen and Albert (Paula) Curry. Duane is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2-4 pm Sunday, at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday at Solid Rock Assembly of God Church, 8590 Rochester Road, Gasport with the Reverend David Hayes officiating.
