Dear Sherrill, Logan, and Megan,

I am deeply saddened to hear of your loss. I have always enjoyed seeing Alex sitting right beside his sweet wife at the ballgames over the years at Gaston Christian. He was a very supportive father and you could tell how proud he was of his girls. I know he will truly be missed by so many. I will be praying for you in the days ahead. Love you all! Lisa Grubbs

Sherrill, I was just thinking of Alex the other day. I was telling old flight instructor stories and Alex was one of the best and one of my favorite students I ever had. He was so easy and so great to work with.

Alex... he was a great man. I am saddened. I send my condolences to you and your and Alex’s family. I will do all I can to get down there.

I’m sorry.
