A Simple Man Who Lived A Simple Life...
Arnold Lee Walker, age 76, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Brian Center in Gastonia, North Carolina. Arnold was a talented musician who loved to play his guitar, banjo and harmonica. He would entertain those at the Brian Center when he could. Arnold loved going out to eat, especially steaks. But most of all, he loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.
Arnold is survived by his four daughters and one son in law: Brenda Fay Walker of Clover, South Carolina, Tammy and Rick Hooper of McAdenville, North Carolina, Tonya Weaver of Dallas, North Carolina and Kandy Walker of Gastonia, North Carolina; one sister: Virginia Revels of Stanley, North Carolina and Grace Stowe of Kings Mountain, North Carolina; one brother and sister in law: Bobby and Kathy Walker of Blacksburg, South Carolina; seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Arnold was the son of the late Wilbert F. Walker and Inell Brooks Walker. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 24 years, Emma Jean Walker; two sisters: Mary Moore and Wilma Potter; two brothers: Douglas F. Walker and James W. Walker.
A Life Well Celebrated Ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 10, 2018 in Carothers Funeral Home Chapel, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, North Carolina with Reverend Jeff Walker and Jimmy Potter to deliver words of Hope and Comfort to his family and friends. Active pallbearers are Brian Walker, Rusty Walker, Jimmy Potter, Shea Hovis, John Boy, Donnie Hawkins and Pete McAllister.
Graveside and committal services will follow in the Dogwood Garden at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 South New Hope Road, Gastonia, North Carolina.
The family will receive guests from 1:00 PM ~ 2:00 PM prior to the service.
