Betty Sue Beck

Betty Sue Beck, 86, of Clover, SC passed away un-expectedly on Thursday October 5, 2023. Betty was a Godly woman. She was a prayer warrior. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She would do without for herself to make sure you had what you needed. She was a hard worker and she enjoyed shopping. She cleaned Westside Hope Church of God each Saturday for over 30 years. Her family, friends and church family are all missing her.

She is the daughter of the late Ruth Bessie (Small) Brazell and Hayward Benjamin Brazell. Her husband and father of her children, Edward Glenn Reed preceded her in death in 2000. Her son, Edward “Petey” Eugene Reed, and sisters Dallas Harbin and Marleen Brazell and son in law “Butch” Carter are waiting for her in heaven.

Her daughters, Sherry Carter and Lisa Reed and son Jimmy Reed (Tina) survive Betty. Betty was one of six daughters. Her sisters, Ruby Atkinson, Barbara Anderson and Jean Anderson (Steve) are also survivors. Her legacy includes seven grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren, and other extended family members.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday October 10, 2023 at Lake Wylie Christian Assembly, 5766 Charlotte Highway, Lake Wylie, SC. The family will receive friends before the service, beginging at 1:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow at 4:00 pm at Gaston Memorial Park.
