Betty Lou Earney Jenkins

Betty Lou Earney Jenkins, age 83, of Gastonia, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She was born in Gastonia and was the daughter of the late Oscar and Bessie Earney.

Mrs. Jenkins was a member of Church Ignited of Albemarle.

Mrs. Jenkins is survived by one son, Greg Jenkins and partner, Michael Toledo of New York, New York; three daughters, Linda Camp and husband Reid of Dallas, Lisa Jenkins and finance’ Randy McCall, Elaine Matheny and husband Steve of Gastonia; four grandchildren, Tim Day, Chris Adair and wife Beth, Leah Goble and husband Davey, Derek Hyatt; nine great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday at Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at The Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home with Dr. Danny Penny officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.

Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Lee Jenkins; one brother, Laban Earney; one sister, Hazel Carter.
