Carmine Di Giorgio

Born on April 5, 1939, in Vallata, Italy, Carmine's life was a beautiful testament to perseverance, humility, and unconditional love. He immigrated to the United States and settled in Elizabeth, New Jersey, alongside many of his family members. Through hard work, determination, and sacrifice, he built a life centered on family, faith, and love. His greatest accomplishment was never measured by what he owned, but by the lives he enriched and the family he cherished.

A gifted leather craftsman, Carmine took immense pride in his work. He believed that anything worth doing was worth doing well, and he carried that philosophy throughout every aspect of his life. His dedication, integrity, and quiet strength earned him the respect of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Outside of work, Carmine found peace in his garden and immense joy in the kitchen. He had a passion for cooking and loved bringing family together around the table. His homemade meals became cherished family traditions, and his pizza pie was legendary among those lucky enough to enjoy it. Whether he was tending his garden or preparing a meal from the heart, he found happiness in caring for the people he loved. The aroma of his homemade pizza filling the house will forever remind us of the love he poured into every meal and every moment spent together. He also adored his grandpups, Roman and Rocco, who always brought a smile to his face and were showered with the same love and affection he gave so freely to his family.

Above all else, Carmine was a devoted husband, a loving father, and the foundation of his family. His love was steady, selfless, and unwavering. He taught those around him the value of honesty, kindness, resilience, and putting family first. The lessons he shared and the example he set will continue to guide future generations.

Carmine is survived by his beloved wife, Rosetta Di Giorgio; his loving sons, Vincent Di Giorgio and his wife, Jennifer, David Di Giorgio, and Vito Di Giorgio and his wife, Elizabeth. He also leaves behind many extended family members, dear friends, and neighbors whose lives were made better by knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Vincent and Maria Di Giorgio; his brothers, Pasquale Di Giorgio and Giuseppe Di Giorgio; and his sisters, Adriana Palmisano, Francesca Mariconda, and Maria Petralia.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Carmine's life on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park.

Although our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that love never ends. Carmine's legacy lives on in the family he built, the values he instilled, and the countless lives he touched with his kindness and generosity. Though the garden will continue to bloom and the scent of homemade pizza will linger in our memories, it is the love Carmine shared so generously that will remain his greatest legacy. He will be forever loved, deeply missed, and remembered every time we gather around the family table.
