Charles Oliver Brackett

In addition to his parents, Oliver and Maggie Brackett, he is preceded in death by his two sons, William and James Brackett.

He is survived by his wife Shirley; his daughter, Tina Jenkins and husband Steve from Dallas; daughter, Sharlene McCorkle and husband Billy from Charlotte; son, Tony Brackett and wife Pat from Mount Holly. He had 12 grandchildren, including Tabatha Orlando and husband John in Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and five great-grandchildren, including Eli Orlando.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia.
