

“Helping others without any reason and giving without the expectation of receiving anything in return” best defines Charles Scott “Scotty” Rollins age 46 passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Caromont Regional Medical Center. Scotty was the owner and operator of Performance Paint and Body shop. A huge NASCAR and Clemson Tigers fan, Scotty took care of his mom, family and friends. He volunteered his time coaching Ranlo little league baseball teams, loading his truck up with kids and driving them through McAdenville’s Christmas parade. He was a former volunteer paramedic in his community as well. Scotty was an avid softball player himself, he sponsored and co-sponsored several softball teams. He loved boating and jet skiing on the lakes.
He was the son of the late Charlie Pugh Rollins and the son of Patricia Ann McDaniel Rollins.
Those left to cherish Scotty’s memories are his mother Patricia Ann Rollins of the home; aunt and uncle: Mary and James Smith of Lincolnton, North Carolina; several cousins also survive. Scotty’s dog, Buster, will miss him too.
A Life Well Celebrated service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, North Carolina with Pastors Willie Cobb and Gene Spurling to officiate. Active pallbearers are William Jory, Michael Gault, Michael Pilkington, Ralph Dowd, Tim Radford and Wesley Jory. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Ball and Kevin Jones.
Graveside and committal service will follow in the Singing Tower Garden at Gaston Memorial Park.
The family will receive guests from 1:00 PM ~ 3:00 PM prior to the service.
