Danny "Pop" Ray Leming

Danny Ray Leming “Pop”, 69, of Lincolnton entered his eternal home on Tuesday March 20, 2018. His family remembers him as never meeting a stranger. Danny loved spending time with his beloved family, bowling, horseback riding and his show chickens. He loved his nieces and nephews like they were his children. He was an active member of Long Shoals Baptist Church.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; Geneva Stanridge Leming and James Leming, sister; Annie Belle Leming and brother; Jimmy Leming.

Left to cherish his memory, his wife of 42 years; Debbie McCrary Leming, nieces Amy Mays (Scott), Shelley Hunsucker (Brandon) and Jennifer McCrary, nephews; Brian McCrary, Jeffery McCrary (Donna) sisters; Joyce L. Clark (Larry), Jean L. Dotson, Linda L. Moss, Faye L. Horton, Susan L. Bryson (Tom) and Deborah L. Hembree. Also grieving Pop’s kids; Kayli, Matthew, Lane and Joshua and other extended family.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday March 25, 2018 at Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday March 26, 2018 at Carothers Funeral Home. Reverends Wesley Ingle, Ken Gibson and James Drennan are officiants.

Committal with full military honors, provided by the U.S. Army and the Gaston County Honor Guard, will follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Danny’s honor to Hospice and Palliative Care, Lincoln County, 900 Donita Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092 - hpccr.org or to the charity of your choice.
