David Michael Lofton

A native of Mecklenburg County, he was the son of David P. Lofton and Meredith Patton Hall.

He is survived by his mother, Meredith Patton Hall; father, David P. Lofton; son, Tanner Hall; brothers, Robert John Wood and wife Kate Finley, Kevin Rhodes Wood; stepchildren, Haley, Landon, Kaleb; stepfathers, Scott Hall, Robert Brett Wood; stepmother, Lynn Lofton, Karlos Gregory; stepbrothers, Wendall, Daniel, and Timmy Smith; grandmothers, Judy Rae Desantis, Carolyn Maguire Patton; aunts, Kathy Capps, Elizabeth Brake, Kris Leagan, Barbara Jessup; uncles, Thomas Patton, Cory Lofton; nephew, Miles Jacob Wood; and 10 cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nikki Moore Lofton; grandfather, William R. Patton Sr.; uncle, William R. Patton Jr., Rich Jessup; great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Champion.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, June 15, 2013 in the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home, 312 W 2nd Ave., Gastonia, NC.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Inurnment will be private and at a later date.
