David was born on June 17, 1956, in McDowell County, NC to the late Jennings Lee Ward and the late June Glenn Ward. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved son, David “Eric” Ward.
A visitation for David will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, NC 28054. A funeral service will follow immediately after in the Funeral Home’s Chapel at 2:00 PM with the burial at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054.
Left to carry on David’s legacy is his loving wife of 35 years, Pat ward; daughter, Ashley Hutchins and husband, Andrew; grandchildren, Eric Hilton and Lina Hilton; sister, Sharon Ward, and brother, Doug Bynum; and his Furbaby, Jaxen.
