He was born January 13, 1956 at Gaston Memorial Hospital to the late James and Beulah Plyler.
After graduating high school, Dennis worked in Textiles and worked for US Airways. He had a deep passion for sharing God's Word and found great joy in witnessing to others.
He is survived by his siblings, Rita Hoyle, Barry Plyler and Donna Stevens; nieces and nephews, Scotty Griggs, Deborah Keeter, Charles Keeter and Heather Duckworth.
In addition to his father and mother, he is preceded in passing by his sister, Deborah Rice; nephews, Jerry Norris, Christopher Plyler and Brian Griggs.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park with the Celebration of Life beginning at 2:00 pm. A committal service will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.
