Donald Earl Blake Sr.

Donald E. Blake passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service that will continue through the generations of his family.

Donald was the son of Donald Albert Blake and Ruth Josephine Wilson. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, enlisting in July 1954 and serving until his honorable discharge in 1982. During his distinguished military career, he attained the rank of Sergeant Major (E-9) and served during both the Korean and Vietnam eras. Among his military honors were the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and Purple Heart, recognizing his courage, sacrifice, and dedication to his country.

Following his military service, Donald retired from Goodyear, where he continued to build a life centered around hard work and family.

Donald is survived by his son, Donald E. Blake Jr., and his daughter, Elizabeth A. White.

He leaves behind his grandchildren, Sean McBride, Dylan Garver, Ian Blake, Sara Cochrane and Chandler, Noah Blake, Elijah Blake, and Bryce Blake, as well as his great-grandchildren, Abishai Garver, Emma Chochrane, Iyla Blake, and Bentley Kalish.

Donald will be remembered not only for his service to his country, but also as a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life touched those around him. His strength, dedication, and love for his family will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

He served his country with honor, lived his life with purpose, and leaves behind a family who will carry his memory in their hearts forever. May he rest in peace.
