A graduate of Hunter Huss High School, Ed holds an associate’s degree in business administration from Gaston College.
He held the rank of SP5 in the Army and was stationed in Colorado.
Ed joined the Gaston County Police Department in 1983. He served in the patrol division before becoming an investigator in 1992 and spent the majority of his career in the Criminal Investigations Section. Ed retired after 25 years of service. He was very proud to be a member of the Gaston County Police Department.
Ed was a life-time member of the NRA. He was an honorable and respected man, well-known by many.
He is preceded in passing by his wife of 48 years, Lisa Emily Tucker and sister, Debbie Tucker.
He is survived by his daughter, Courtney Anderson and partner Dave Bialer; grandson, Austin Anderson; life partner, Carolyn Everett.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park with the memorial service beginning at 4:00 pm.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Gaston County Police Foundation.
