Eleanor Faye Montgomery, 82 went to be with her Lord on Tuesday February 24, 2015 at Piedmont Medical Center. She was born February 14, 1933 to
the Late Sloan Cherry and Martha Cox Cherry.
She is a member of Thrift Baptist Church; she loved serving the Lord and enjoys gospel music.
Left to cherish her memories daughter’s Vanessa Barnes, Rena Ayres; siblings two brothers; three sisters, she is also survived by one grandchild and four great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she is presented in death by her husband, Arnold Frank Montgomery; son Arnold Ray Montgomery and granddaughter Sandra B. Tomlinson.
The Family will receive friends Thursday March 5, 2015 from 1p.m.-2p.m. at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Drive Gastonia, NC 28054.Service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
