Gladys Melton Garris

She is survived by her children, Eddie Melton, Frank Welch (Sheri), Melvin Garris and John Wayne Garris; daughters, Barbara Jeffery (David), Glenda Messer and Mary Whitley Mason, 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Garris.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, at Carothers Colonial Chapel, with Pastor David Jeffery officiating. Interment will follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park. The family will re-ceive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the National Alzheimer’s Assocation, 7400 Louis Pasteur Drive, San Anto-nio, Texas.
