Glenda Diane Poarch

Glenda was born on June 28, 1951 in Charlotte, NC to the late Sam "Bud" Young and the late Dot Young. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Steven Poarch Jr. and her brother, Gary Young.

Diane was a woman who found her joy in the warmth of the sun and the open air. Whether she was relaxing on a cruise, walking along the beach, or tending to her lawn, she loved any moment spent outside. Traveling with her church group brought her friendship and adventure, and her dogs were her constant companions, filling her days with comfort and love. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love of simple pleasures, and the sunshine she carried with her wherever she went.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 11:00 am at at Gaston Memorial Park, located at 1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC, 28054.

Surviors include her loving husband of 58 years, Steve Poarch; son, Craig Poarch and wife, Angie; daughter, Stephanie Zubrinsky and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Alyssa Rhyne and husband, Cody, rachel Zubrinsky; Ainsley Zubrinsky; Christopher Poarch and Amber Carpenter and her husband, Tyler; brothers, Jr. Young and his wife, Marie and Ricky Young and his wife, Debby; sister, Elaine Price and her husband, Larry.
