Gwendolyn "Gwen" Miller

She was a devoted and loving mother who poured her heart into everything she did. Gwen was deeply involved in the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU), where she found great joy in serving. She also taught Sunday School, sang in the church choir, and shared her voice in a trio. Gwen had a passion for cooking, decorating, and design, and she delighted in the beauty of flowers, finding inspiration in their colors and forms.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her husband, Robert C. Miller; sister, Laura Smith and brother, Charles Leagan.

Gwen is survived by her son, Daniel E. Lee and wife Sheila; daughter, Deborah C. Lee; grandchildren, Joshua D. Lee and wife Brandy, Michelle L. Maness and husband Mark, Lisa Dawn Walker and late husband David, Tara M. Phillips and husband Mike; great grandchildren, Abigail A. Lee, Aiden A. Lee, Lander, Tori, Chloe, Caleb, Mallory, and Kinsley; great great grandchildren, Langston and Braxton.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Salem Baptist Church with the funeral service to begin at 3:00 pm. The committal service will immediately follow at Gaston Memorial Park.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Salem Baptist Church, 1534 Rolling Meadow Lane, Gastonia, NC 28054 or for mission work.
