

Harold Franklin Voyles, 95, of Dallas passed away peacefully, Wednesday January 6, 2016 at Terrace Ridge Assisted Living. He was born January 3, 1921 in Anderson County, SC to the late Young and Dewey (Allen) Voyles. Harold will always be remembered by his family as a kind, gentle gentleman who worked his whole life. He retired from the banking industry after 30 years. He loved to travel, was a member of Dallas Baptist Church where he was the treasurer for many years and stayed active in the church.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Rita Yelton and husband Jimmy of Belmont and Ginger Lutz and husband Dean of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Kelly Scott, Ashley Queen and Jamie Yelton; seven great-grandchildren, Kalobe and Cassie Williams, Ashleigh and Trey Mosteller, McKenna Scott, Noah Queen and James Yelton; and three great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Lorraine Voyles, two sisters and two great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Gaston Memorial Park. Pastor Barron Lee will preside.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, NC.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Gastonia: P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia, North Carolina 28054.
