Jeanette (Smith) Wise

Aunt Jeanette was a second Mother to me. She would ride the bus to Ranlo to pick me up and take me back to Gastonia and Grandma Smith’s for weekends when she was a young girl. Uncle Don was there as well and he, Grandpa Smith and Aunt Jeanette and I always attended church at South Marietta St on Sunday. After church we would all return home to enjoy one of Grandma Smith’s wonderful Sunday dinners. Later on when Uncle Sam and Aunt Jeanette started dating they would take me along on their dates to the Diane 29 Twin movies. We took weekend trips to Lenoir to visit Aunt May, Grandma Smiths Sister. Uncle Don would take me on fishing trips at the coast which was a special treat for me as a young boy. I will never be able to thank them for all they did for me out of love, especially Aunt Jeanette. She was a dear soul and I will miss her greatly. May she Rest In Peace with her Lord and her loved ones who have gone before.

Jeanette was more than a neighbor to us, she was part of our family for over thirty years. She will be missed so much, and it has been an homor for Brady, Brittany, and myself to have had the opportunity to have her in our lives. Heaven has certainly received another angel as Jeanette goes through the those pearly gates. We will always keep you in our hearts Jeanette, and love you so much!

I met Jeanette through my work/friendship relationship with Sam. She was a lovely woman and so very thoughtful. We have stayed in contact since Sam’s passing. She checked in on my health even though she was having more pain/problems than me. I will miss our conversations but am glad Jeanette is now pain free and probably serving sno-cones with Sam, or camping at some beach in Heaven.
