Jeannette Marini Kopf, age 87, passed away on Saturday ~ July 4, 2020 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas, North Carolina. Jean attended and graduated from Stow High School, Class of 1951, in
Stow, Ohio. While in Stow, she wrote a newspaper column at the Stow Sentry. In 1978, Jean received an Associate in Arts Degree from The University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. Following, she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1980 from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Jean also received a degree in nursing in 1974 and was a Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN, Cuyahoga Falls School of Practical Nursing Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Jean worked as a nurse, LPN and RN, for twenty five years before retiring in 1999. She was a member of the North Carolina Master Gardener. She was a volunteer at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden in Belmont, North Carolina along with being a volunteer at Extension and Community Association, ECA, Gastonia, North Carolina and a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge #1870 Stuart, Florida and Lodge #1634 Gastonia, North Carolina.
Other than flowers and orchids, her talents were many, as she made and sold crafts at various local fairs.
Jean is going to be missed greatly by her family, friends and all who she touched during her wonderful life.
Those left behind to cherish Jean's memories and carry on her legacy are her daughter: Victoria Englehart-Dragomer and husband Mark of Pompano, Florida; two sons and daughter in law: Bill and Chris Martin Englehart of Midlothian, Virginia, Joe and Margo Maguire Englehart of Gastonia, North Carolina; two grandchildren: Sean Sullivan and Alecia Englehart Christian.
Jeannette was the daughter of the late Lorenzo Marini and Stella Distasi Marini. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frederic Kopf and a granddaughter Nicole Englehart.
A Life Well Celebrated Memorial Ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday ~ July 18, 2020 in the Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, North Carolina with Reverend Sammy Oxendine delivering words of hope and comfort to Jean's family and friends.
Graveside and Inurnment service will follow in the Trinity Garden at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 South New Hope Road, Gastonia, North Carolina 28054.
The family will receive guests from 1:00 PM ~ 2:00 PM prior to the service.
