Jimmie Louie Robinson

Jimmie Louie Robinson departed this life on July 6, 2025, in Dallas, North Carolina, at the age of 88. He was born on December 2, 1936, to the late Eddie and Rebecca Robinson, whose love and guidance shaped the foundation of his life.

In addition to his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Frankie M. Lowe, and six siblings: Emma Williams Bonner, Lula Robinson Johnson, Eula Robinson, Eddie Robinson Jr., Gracie Robinson Wheeler, Andrew Robinson, and Roosevelt Robinson. He was also preceded in death by four of his children: Clarence Carter, Cynthia Marcela, Jimmy Jr, and Jonathan.

Jimmie will be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering kindness, and the deep sense of integrity he carried throughout his years. His presence was a source of comfort and wisdom to all who knew him, and his legacy lives on in the hearts of family and friends.

Prior to moving to New York, Jimmie married his childhood sweetheart, Frankie M. Lowe, on December 8, 1956. Their union was blessed with six children. He leaves to mourn his passing: Tracey Renee (Barry), Francine Denise, Shawn Donelle (Sandra), Jeannie (Leroy), Herman, Shelia (David), Sharon, Suzanne, Brenda, and John by Arthur Lee Johnson.

Jimmie also leaves behind 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

His life was a testament to love, resilience, and devotion to family. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know him.

A visitation for Jimmie will take place on Friday, July 18 from 11:00 AM - 12:45 PM at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Dr, Gastonia, NC 28054. The Celebration of Life will immediately follow at 1:00 PM officiated by Pastor Rodney Barker.
