Jodi Lyn Hansen

December 10, 1960July 27, 2020

Jodi Lyn Hansen, 59, was welcomed into the arms of the Lord before dawn on Monday July 27, 2020. Born on December 10, 1960 in Mesa, AZ, she was the daughter of the late Robert Norman Hansen and the late Dorothy Mae Hughes Hansen.

She is survived by her siblings Sandra, Natalie, Robbyn, and Jeffrey; her children, Nicole, Krystle, Ashley, Dobby and son-in-law Michael. She was a loving and nurturing Nana to Dominic, Luis, Brooke, and Marcos. She was also a loving aunt to many.

Jodi loved dogs – especially her chihuahua Dobby. She enjoyed movies, music, and TV. She loved old black and white movies and musicals most of all. She enjoyed cooking and made some of the best sweet potatoes anyone has ever eaten.

She was so kind and gentle that most people would just gravitate towards her. She has many friends and family that adore her. She was the ear you would go to if you needed someone to be there to listen. She will be missed by all.

An Angel of Earth has now made it to Heaven.

Jodi and her loving family are in the care of Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park.

Sending all of my love, my condolences, my support and thoughts to Jodi’s family during this difficult time.
For those who don’t know me, Jodi and I were very close. I called her my second mom and she referred to me as her other daughter or her angel. We were always there for each other through good times and bad times. We shared so very many laughs too. As we all know she was a very funny lady. We often matched each other’s sarcasm. She loved to pick on me for my serious fear of tree frogs and send me tree frog pictures or memes, while laughing at me like crazy.
Her love for me and mine for her will forever be something I cherish. She will forever be close to my heart and never forgotten. A wonderful soul I will always miss, until the day we meet again. Love you dearest Jodi
Yours always Kelly Asar

She was the funniest, kindest person I have ever meet. I miss talking to her when I made mistakes, giving me advise, and telling me it will get better. I send my deepest regards and prayers to her family and friends.
