

Born on October 14, 1926, in McDowell County, NC, he was the son of the late John Brownlow Huskins, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Lingerfeldt Huskins.
Mr. Huskins retired from FMC (Lithium Corporation of America) in Bessemer City, following 20 years of service. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, North Congregation in
Gastonia.
J.B. was devoted to his family and over 100 year-old homestead.
Mr. Huskins is survived by his nephew, Jack L. Harrelson, Jr. (Cindy Harrelson); five nieces, Marilyn Medina, Cynthia Michael, Ginny
Porterfield, Kimberly Bunting, and Lora Kendrick; three great nephews and great niece; Jason Ellis Harrelson (Kellie), Mary O'Shea (Patrick), and Jason Richbourg; three great-great nephews and great-great niece, Caitlyn Harrelson, Jordan
Harrelson, and Ashton Harrelson; a great-great-great niece, Rhiannon O'Shea.
The family would like to thank the team of Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center for their care and support.
A celebration of J.B.'s life will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Dr., Gastonia, NC 28054.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gaston County Animal Shelter, 1491 Business Park Ct, Gastonia, NC.
