

Juanita Dean Branham, age 78, passed away at her home on February 22, 2016. Proverbs: 3: 5-6 KJV...Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding… In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths… These words speak volumes about Juanita. Juanita was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother and friend to all. She was very proud of her family. Juanita retired from Pharr Yarns after 55 years of dedicated service. She loved to bowl and play softball. Juanita loved watching NFL football games and the Carolina Panthers were her favorite team. She also loved the Charlotte Hornets and college basketball.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years Jackie Branham along with one brother Leroy Wynn. She was the daughter of the late Willie Wynn and Esther Mundy Wynn.
Those left behind to cherish her memories are her four daughters and their husbands: Ginger Laws of Gastonia, Darlene and Jeff Gibson of Stanley, Debby and Wayne Bryant of Gastonia, Nechie Woods and Audie Hullette of Cherryville; one son and his wife: Barry and Karen Woods of Cramerton; one sister in law: Joyce Wynn of McAdenville; Thirteen grandchildren, Thirty One great grandchildren and Five great-great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Carothers Funeral Home Chapel, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, North Carolina 28054 with Reverend Tommy Stewart to deliver the words of comfort to the family and friends. Vickie Tucker will provide the special music. Active pallbearers are Jamie and Justin Wilkinson, Tracy and Devon Dye, Daniel Woods, Jason Walker, Jeremy and Tyler Bray.
Graveside and committal service will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM prior to the service.
