Judy Dianne Ellis

Judy Dianne Barton Ellis, age 65, of Gastonia, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She was born in Mecklenburg County and was the daughter of the late Stanley Charles and Frankie Elizabeth Hansil Barton.

Mrs. Ellis was a graduate of Belmont High School, she formerly worked at Wix Corporation and then was employed with BB & T in Lowell.

Mrs. Ellis is survived by her husband of 27 years, Dale Jackson Ellis; daughter, Melissa Dale and husband Wayne of Cramerton; son, Steve Smith and wife Michelle of Gastonia; one brother, Denny Barton and wife Virginia of Clover; five grandchildren, Lindsey Dale, Whitney Dale, Joshua Smith, Emma Smith, Josh Dale; two great grandchildren, Jaiden Shuford, Kinlee Green; sister-in-law, Mary Johnson and husband John of Charlotte; nephew, Matthew Johnson of Charlotte.

A Memorial Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Garden of Honor Section of Gaston Memorial Park with Pastor Joe Heffner officiating.

The family will receive friends with a reception following the Memorial Graveside Service at Lowell Church of God, 804 W. 1st Street, Lowell, North Carolina.
