

She was born in Draper, N.C., daughter of the late Frank and Lelia Wade. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Kings Mountain. She worked as a data processor for First Union Bank
She is survived by two precious sons and two precious daughters-in-law, Dennis Mustian and wife, Ann, of Belmont, David Mustian and wife, Kelly of Denver; two sisters, Dorthy Crowder, of Danville, Va., Marcella Young of Santa Maria, Calif.; three brothers, Richard Wade and wife, Betty of Beaufort, Learo Wade and wife, Marie of Salisbury, Learon Wade and wife, Ann, of Durham; four grandchildren, Michael (wife Shea), April, Megan and Paul Mustian, and one great-grandchild, Cierra Johnson.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Coran “Mac” McSwain; sister, Helen Hall; brothers, Melvin, Gordon and Alvis Wade.
The family extends special thanks to Deacon Bill McMurry and his wife Barbara, Misty Terry, Pat Williams of Kings Mountain and Cameron Coleman of Shelby for their loving care and kindness during her illness. Also, to Jerry Mullinax, her apartment manager at Battle Forest Apartments.
A celebration of life will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, NC 28054, officiated by the Rev. James Lochridge.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at Carothers Funeral Home
Burial will follow in Gaston Memorial Park.
