Kathleen "Kat" Long Cline Young

She was a dedicated volunteer at Gaston Memorial Hospital (now CaroMont Regional Medical Center), where she enjoyed giving back to her community. Kat found joy in gardening, reading, and watching classic films. She was known for her eloquence, intelligence, and thoughtful approach to everything she did. Throughout her career, she worked alongside her family at Long Brothers Roofing, where her dedication and strong work ethic were deeply valued.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her first husband, Jennings Cline; second husband, Keith Young, Sr.; sons, Bill Cline, Jeff Cline and Scott Cline; siblings, JA Long, Neal Long, Louise Armstrong, Jo Ann Bradley, and Ruth Parmelly and four nephews.

She is survived by her nieces, Jeannie Gambone, Barbara Putnam, Patsy Schied and husband Bobby, Cherie Hawkins, Kathy Rhinehardt; nephews, Jim Long and Don Long; and a number of great nieces and great nephews. She is also survived by her stepsons, David Young and wife Kathy and Keith Young, Jr. and wife Suzanne.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
