

Larry Donnell McGraw, age 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025. He was born on November 17, 1959, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to the late James McGraw Sr. and Geneva Wilmore McGraw. Larry was a loving father, husband, and friend, whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Larry was a graduate of Lancaster High School, where he made lasting friendships and cherished memories. On December 3, 2003, he married Rosie Clark McGraw, and together they shared a life full of love, laughter, and devotion. Larry worked as a terminal operator at Kinder-Morgan Inc, where he spent many years dedicated to his career and colleagues.
Preceding Larry in death were his parents, James and Geneva McGraw, and his beloved sisters, Linda Jean Sims and Barbara Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife, Rosie, and his child: Yoki Cunningham. He also leaves behind his two stepchildren, Ashley and JR Dawkins, as well as his Siblings, James King (Darlene) McGraw, Charles McGraw, James (Dorothy) McGraw Jr., Betty Sue (Willie) Evans, and Shirley (Jessie) Brice.
Larry had a passion for sports, especially his unwavering support of the Washington Redskins, now known as the Commanders, and his loyalty to Duke basketball. He enjoyed many moments cheering for his teams, always bringing his unique passion to every game.
Larry’s family and friends will forever remember his generous spirit, sense of humor, and his ability to brighten any room. His legacy of love and dedication will live on through his family and the many lives he touched.
Larry’s memory will live in the hearts of all who knew him. Rest in peace, Larry. You will be dearly missed.
