A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Orbin and Rhoda
Cable Hyde.
Mrs. Voyles was retired from AT&T and a graduate of Ashley High School. She was
a member of Linwood Church of God.
She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Hanline and husband, Mike of Gastonia,
Donna Voyles of Gastonia; son, Jason Voyles and wife, Annette of Covington,
Georgia; brother, Ray Hyde of Dallas; sisters, Alawayne Cook of High Point, Ina
Justice of Stanley, Nina Friday of Bessemer City, Margie Robbins of Iron
Station; six grandchildren, Tyson and Ryan Hanline; Hali, Sadie, Rhodie and
Memphis Voyles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 37
years, Harold Voyles; brother, Clifford Hyde; sisters, Christine Reese and
Loriane Fields.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Linwood Church of God with
Pastor Randal Phillips officiating.
Entombment will be at Gaston Memorial Park Mausoleum of Peace.
The visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Carothers Funeral Home
in Gastonia.
