She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren… She was a loving wife and friend to all… These words speak well of Marian Doris Davies, age 94 who passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the White Oak Manor in York, South Carolina. Marian was a Red Hatter, enjoyed playing bingo, line dancing and was an excellent Bridge player.
Mirian was the daughter of the late Albert John Bamberger and Teresa Marshall Bamberger. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl W. Davies and her brother Albert “Bud” Bamberger.
Those left behind to cherish Marian’s memories are her two daughters and sons in law: Geri and Trevor Allonby of England, Jacquelyn and Andy Hill of Lake Wylie, South Carolina; one son: David D. Davies of Raleigh, North Carolina; one brother and sister in law: Richard Edwin “Dick” and Sharon Bamberger of Albany, New York; four grandchildren and their spouses: Jodie-Lynn and CJ Jaccaud, Beth-Ann and Peter Harrison, Jenna Marie Hill and fiancé Andrew Parmley, Christopher Andrew and Kirsten Hill; eight great grandchildren: Mattix, Talon, Finlea, Bekkem, Alexander, Sophie, Skylar Marie and Hadley-Page.
Entombment will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 24, 2016 in the Mausoleum of Peace Chapel at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, North Carolina 28054.
