Michael “Mick” Luther Hartness, 68, passed away on December 25, 2015. He was born in Gaston County on July 26, 1947 to Luther Edgar Hartness and Jane Webber Hartness. Mick served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was very proud of his service.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Andrew Hartness of Charlotte; mother, Jane Hartness of Gastonia; sisters, Faye Herman of Gastonia and Blanche Carpenter of Bessemer City, NC; brothers, Reggie Hartness and his wife, Margaret of Mt. Holly and Charles Hartness of Raleigh; a very special friend Andrea Hill of Kennard, Texas and his 2 beloved dogs Bandit and Sadie.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
