Molly Imogene Martin Parker, age 91, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 at the CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. Molly was a Gastonia native, living her entire life in Gaston County. Most recently she was in rehabilitation, after suffering a broken hip. To know Molly, was to love her. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
Molly was the daughter of the late Lola (Bradley) and Claude Murphy Martin, Sr. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jacquelyn Martin Holbrook and one brother, Ralph P. Martin.
Molly was a graduate of Gastonia High School, and attended both Lenoir Rhyne College and Evans Business College. She served as an Executive Secretary at Duke Power for 36 years. She also was a member of First United Methodist Church of Gastonia.
Those left behind to cherish her memories are her husband, Kenneth Parker, Jr, her daughter, Kathy Parker Dicken, son-in-law, Patrick Dicken and one brother: Claude Murphy Martin, Jr;
The family will have a time of gathering on Friday, December 31, 2021 from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm in The Dogwood Room at Carothers Funeral Home of Gastonia with a private burial at Gaston Memorial Park.
