Nancy L. Lynn

Hospice House of Rock Hill on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 surrounded by her

loving family.

Mrs. Lynn was born in Gastonia, North Carolina on September 6, 1952. She was the

daughter of the late Louise Mae Rippy Goodwin and Edgar Eugene Goodwin, Sr. In

addition to her parents, Mrs. Lynn is preceded in death by her sister Jan Ramey

of Gastonia, NC.

Mrs. Lynn spent 32 years working for the Social Security Administration, holding

various positions in Charlotte and Rock Hill before retiring from the Gastonia

office. She will be remembered for the courage and strength she showed each day

while battling cancer for 4 years.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, David Michael Lynn of Rock Hill, SC;

two sons, Micah Lynn and wife, Wendy, of Fort Mill, SC and Marc Lynn and wife,

Brandy, of Blythewood, SC; granddaughter, Addison Lynn of Fort Mill, SC and

twin grandchildren due in June.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 2:00pm at

Carothers Funeral Home, 312 W. 2nd Avenue, Gastonia, NC 28052. Burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park.The family will

receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 1:00-2:00pm.

The family would like to thank the staff at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Dr.

Gary Frenette and his staff at Blumenthal Cancer Center of Carolinas Medical

Center, the congregation of Albemarle Road Presbyterian Church where she was a

member and all the friends, family and neighbors who have shown so much love and

support.
