Pamela Jean (Thomas) Wilson, 55, of Gastonia passed away Thursday October 14, 2021. Pamela was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Professionally, she was an Activities Coordinator at Gaston Skills. Pamela loved to cook. She was especially known for her deserts. She like to do crafts and she would often make wreathes, bows and flower arrangements. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Pamela is the daughter of the late Brenda Calhoun Sprott and Larry Allen Thomas – both of Gastonia. Her grandparents Peggy and Charles Rose of Gastonia and grandmother Grace Calhoun Rose of Bryson City also preceded her in death. Her aunts, Theresa Calhoun of Bryson City and Kathy Rose Lawson of Bessemer City and her uncle Michael Keith Angley of South Carolina have all also gone on before her.
Pamela is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Nathan Dupriest Wilson, of the home in Gastonia and daughter Heather Jordan Thomas of Gastonia. Pamela leaves behind a special grandson, Brendynn Nashon Adams of Gastonia as well as her aunt Tammy Rose Ruff of Dallas, NC and cousins Brandy Hamilton, Jada Smith and Jennifer Buckley.
A celebration of Pamela’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday October 21, 2021 at Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive in Gastonia. The family will receive friends one hour before the service beginning at 1:00 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow the celebration of life service at the Mausoleum of Peace at Gaston Memorial Park. The pallbearers are Reggie Gordon, Johnny Hamilton, Joseph Buckley, Larry McCorkle, Lafayette Wilson and James Branch, Jr. Brandon Hamilton is a honorary pallbearer.
