Patricia (Summey) Clinton, 79, of Dallas passed away peacefully on Sunday January 24, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed taking care of her family. She liked to cook and bake. She was known for her zucchini bread. She also liked to read and attend to a vegetable garden when she was able. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all that knew and loved her.
Patricia is the daughter of the late Rosalie (Mc Crieght) and Thurman Lee Summey. Her brothers Wilbur Summey, Willis Summey, Charles Summey and Jerry Summey precede her in death.
Left to cherish their memories of Patricia and to carry on her legacy are, her husband of over 60 years, Raymond Clinton and her children Kristin Clinton and Joey Clinton and his wife Belinda. Missing their grandmother are four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday January 29, 2021 at Carothers Funeral Home Chapel, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia. The family will receive friends one hour before the service beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Garden section of Gaston Memorial Park. Pastor Gene Bates will offer words of encouragement and hope to those that gather to remember Patricia. Jack Ness, Chris McSwain, Danny Weikel, Lee Bowlin and Zakk Simmons are the pallbearers.
