Patsy was born on February 9, 1962 in Gastonia, NC. She was the daughter of the late Boyce and Audrey Rimmer.
Patsy worked in the Steele industry as a Purchasing Agent/Buyer at Imperial Machine Company for 25 years. She loved her job, her co-workers and clients, they were like an extended family.
Patsy’s world revolved around her grandbabies, she loved spending time with them more than anything, they were the center of her world. Patsy loved being outside and had a passion for gardening; she loved working in her flower beds and then watching them flourish, especially her peonies.
Patsy was a fighter; she was strong willed and fought with all she had, she beat stage III cancer, but the side effects of the chemo/radiotherapy and COVID is what ultimately took her down.
Patsy was preceded in death by her father Boyce Rimmer, mother Audrey Rimmer, sister Penny Badger and brother Michael (Mike) Rimmer.
She is survived by her Daughter Jessica Barringer and husband Jairus, Son Blake Lewis, Grandchildren Riley Barringer and Reese Barringer, Brother Mark Rimmer, Sister Paula Higdon and Companion/Partner Jeff Wyatt.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Grace Baptist Church in Gastonia. With COVID at its peak, the family is requiring masks at the services.
