Paul David Wright

Paul David Wright, age 89, of Gastonia, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2011 at Abingdon Place of Gastonia with his loving family by his side. Mr. Wright was born in Gaston County and was the son of the late Hershel and Alda Helms Wright.

Mr. Wright was a veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Army Air Corps. He retired from Park Ohio Industries, Cleveland, Ohio.

Mr. Wright is survived by one sister, Dorothy Wright Simpson of Belmont; one brother, Walter Wright of Clover; niece, Paula Smith and husband George of Belmont and several other nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Myrtle Section of Gaston Memorial Park with Chaplain Carl Synan officiating.

The family will receive friends after the graveside service at the cemetery.

Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Luther Wright; two sisters, Annie Mae Long, Zona Rogers; two nephews, Buddy Rogers, Robert Long.
