Rebecca "Suzie" Suzanne Wooten

Suzie was born on October 1, 1944 in Shelby, NC to the late Robert Earl Peeler Sr. and the late Audrey Crawford Peeler. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wooten; son, Robert Keisler; daughter, Kathy Keisler Kennerly and brother, Robert (Bob) Earl Peeler Jr.

Suzie owned and operated her own business, Southern Buildings Inc., in Gastonia for many years. She was also a talented project manager and home designer, bringing her creativity and passion to many beautiful homes in Ocean Isle Beach, where she lived for many years before moving to Sherrills Ford in 2021. Suzie was known for her beautiful heart, kind soul, and unforgettable smile. She touched the lives of so many people through her work, her kindness, and the love she shared with those around her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her step daughter, Wendy Helton (Kevin), their daughter Sarah (Trevor) and their son, Hudson; step daughter, Judy Burton; step son, Woodrow Wooten Jr. (Ginny) and their children, Abigail and Gabrielle; as well as her very special sister-in-law, Mable. Mable spent many days by Suzies' side feeding her and making sure she was always comfortable. She always brought a smile to Suzie’s face when she heard Mables voice.
