One of my fondest memories of Uncle Junior, was the day that he realized that I loved baseball; he had an old first baseman's mitt that he did not use any more, so he gave it to me. He was left handed, but that did not matter to me; I loved that glove more than anything that I possessed; I remember how it smelled to this day. At that time, I told Mother that if they did not play baseball in heaven, I was not sure that I wanted to go. Of course, if they do, then Uncle Junior is on first base once again, maybe with that same mitt, because I have not seen it in years.

Another memory was also from my childhood (I have lots because Ann is like one of my Sisters and we we constantly together at one place or another). I wanted combat boots for school and Mother did not think that they were appropriate so I was complaining to everyone. I dreamed of that new leather smell with all the lacing and buckles that the WWII boots had (they were very popular in 1952) and I sure did not want to be the only in the fourth grade with some kind of dumb oxford or brogan. Uncle Junior said (within Mother's hearing) oh don't worry, Uncle Sam will put him some boots before too long. Mother must have decided that she had  rather I get the boots form Penny's than Uncle Sam because I remember them well, they smelled just I had imagined and from then on Uncle Junior was more that a hero to me.

May God bless your family.  As a youngster in the Mt. Sinai Church Commuity in Shelby, Junior was one of my heros.  He was a very good baseball pitcher and player. At every opportunity I enjoyed chatting with him.  He was a wonderful person, and I know he will be missed greatly by many people.

So sorry for your family's loss - praying God's peace, strength and comfort for you all.

I love you so much and can't wait to see you again some day not so soon.  So glad the boys were able to see you in May and so very greatful you got to meet Declan.  We will all miss you greatly but your Greatgrandkids will always know how much you loved them.

Reuben and Willie two of my favorite people.  It has always been my pleasure to spend time visiting with them.  People sometimes change but Reuben and Willie never did they always had a big smile and a warm welcome.  In recent years when Reuben was able to get out he would go with Willie to the Walmart in Belmont.  I would sometimes see them there he would spend  time catching up and visiting.  I shall miss Reuben he was one of the nicest people that I have ever known.  We have to suffer the loss but Reuben has gone HOME and at some future date we will have all of eternity to visit and catch up.  Reuben was a child of God.
