home in Mt. Holly, NC on October 2, 2021 at the age of 72. Born in Huron, SD and raised in
Bloomington, MN he joined the Navy out of high school to pursue his love of aviation. A veteran
of the Vietnam war, after Bobby was discharged he pursued a career of his first love that saw
him move around the country eventually settling in Belmont, NC. He had a passion for the US
Navy Blue Angels and would regularly travel to see them perform.
His zest for life was undeniable as he was often on the move attending NASCAR races, football
games or taking in the weekend activities for any of his nine grandchildren. Bobby never met a
stranger. Always willing to put the needs of others ahead of his own, he could always be
depended on to lend a helping hand for those in need or a shoulder to lean on in tough times.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Ellen Zwanziger, his brothers “Dicky”
and Jim, and his niece Shannon Zwanziger.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Zwanziger; his children Shannon (David) Bain, Joey, Justine
(Cory) Bartlett, Shawn Seeley, Sabrina (Brent) Harrelson, Scott (Sara) Seeley, his grandchildren
Devon, Marie, Blayne, Blaire, Kaylee, Drew, Anthony, Scarlett and Shepherd as well as the many
friends who loved and will miss him. Missing their brother are his siblings - Judy Gores (Milton Christenson), Don Zwanziger, Louanne Zwanziger, Barb (Rodney) Vosejpka and Terry (Gwen) Zwanziger.
