Robert "Bob" Miller Howard Jr.

Bob was a mechanical engineer. He worked for R. H. Bouligny, Inc. in Charlotte for many years and was the holder of several patents. Bob was a longtime member of AA and made many friends through that organization. Bob was a talented guitarist and song writer. He enjoyed taking his little dog with him to various venues, where he would play and sing.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Miller Howard, Sr. and Agnes Isenhour Howard, and by his loving wife Karla. Bob is survived by his sisters, Susan Howard Pearce of Petaluma, CA, Molly Howard Frederick of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, and Roberta (Robbie) Howard Gulledge of Austin, TX; niece, Mary Rachel Pearce of Petaluma, CA, as well as dear friends in Gastonia, Texas, and Florida.

The family would like to especially thank Lori Moss, Justin Guthrie, and Chip Ferguson, for their presence in Bob’s life and for all their help during Bob’s illness.

A small gathering for Bob’s friends and family will be held to celebrate Bob’s life on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Dr, Gastonia, NC 28054.
