Robert Eugene Mason

A native of Cherokee County, he was the son of Ruth Helen Mason Walker.

He was a member of Non-Denominational Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Glenda Tucker Mason; daughters, Elizabeth Mason, Jean Mason; mother, Ruth Helen Mason Walker; godson, Landon Douglas Summey; brothers, Ronnie Weaver, Jerry Lee Weaver; sister, Connie Seagraves; sister-in-law, Edwina Godwin and husband Kelly; brother-in-law, James Tucker and wife Mercedes; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Friday in the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia with Tom Nussbaum officiating.

Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 pm Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
