Rod appreciate the great friendship we came to have over many years.  You sure knew how to have a party at your home on the Lake.  Know all your friends well enjoyed, especially going out on the lake, or swimming or fishing off your pier.  Glad you had the best of care here toward the last. Rod was a fine friend, wonderful neighbor and the best man at our wedding. It wasn't unusual to hear his Tahoe crank up and leave his driveway at 5:00am heading to Sugar Mountain for a day of skiing only to return home the same night. Rod's love for Lake Norman was second to none. He loved to ski, boat and sail. His knowledge of the lake remains unsurpassed. Rod enjoyed sharing this knowledge helping others understand how to navigate the lake.
We will miss his company at the dinner parties he enjoyed so much. We will miss his laugh and baritone voice. We will miss Rod.
