Ruth Benny Ellis

A native of Monroe, NC, she was the daughter of the late George Washington and Clementine Otten Mullins.

She is survived by her sons, Steven and Maria Ellis of Cherryville, Randy and Renee Ellis of Dallas; daughter, Sheila and Doug Miles of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Angela and Mike Powell, Marty Ellis, John and Brenda Miles, Jessica and Bradley Hill, Steven Ellis, Monica Ellis, Crystal Ellis, Jonathan and Jara Ellis; great grandchildren, Abigail, Cody, Zoey, Pyper, Ashley and Gracie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edward Ellis; three brothers and three sisters.

A graveside funeral will be held 1:00 pm Friday at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Ron Watts officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm Friday at Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia.
